Chapter six

I laid in my bed just staring at the ceiling silently, "I-I'm a werewolf." I thought slowly. "I-I-I'm a werewolf." I thought again and rolled over onto my side, I heard the door open and then gently slid closed. "Simon." A soft voice called from the doorway, when I didn't answer footsteps walked over to the bed and then the person sat down on the edge of the bed. "Simon?' He called and then set a hand on my shoulder. I rolled over and saw a man that looked around nineteen close to twenty, he had black hair that hung down to the middle of his cheek and then was chopped into messy spikes. His skin was clean besides the scar on the bridge of his nose, his eyes were their own. They were vibrant ice blue; he was wearing black T-shit with blue jeans that had holes in the knees. He also wore black snow boots, I noticed the indent of a ring that use to his on his ring finger, "Was he married?" I asked myself and then waited for him to speak. "How you holding up?' he asked, "H-How am I holding up!? I'm a freaken monster!" I shouted as he flinched. "We aren't monsters, we are people. You'll love your new life if you give it a chance." He said as pain glazed across his eyes, "W-Were you born one? A werewolf I mean."  I asked starting to feel guilt-ridden. He simply nodded and then looked up at me; he drew in a breath and then started speaking again. "My mother was a pure blood while my father was a mutt, they weren't supposed to be together but I guess my parents liked taking risks." he explained. "What happened to your parents?" I asked slowly sitting up, "They were murdered for having a cub, before my mother died though she hid me away." he said looking down at his hands as his lip quivered. He looked like we were going cry but then he lifted his head and smiled at me, "But then a very nice human took me in and here I am now." He said still smiling. "So do people know that were are real?" I asked tilting my head with curiosity, He shook his head, "No, if they did there probably be chaos and much confusion. That's why we have this academy to house abandoned wolves who need help. I'm Tamani; I'll be your mentor and help you whenever you need it." Tamani explained while I nodded my head. "When will I be discharged?" I asked, Tamani sighed and then rubbed his forehead. "We don't know if there will be any side effects of the bite." Tamani said standing and sat in one of the chairs next to my bed, "What do you me mean side effects?" I asked slowly looking at Tamani with terror. "Well, some people get sick after they are bitten." Tamani said slowly, "Sick? Sick how!?" I yelled sitting up fully. "Calm down Simon." Tamani said holding out his hands, "Calm down! I was turned into a werewolf and now you’re telling me I could possibly get sick!" I shouted as Raven poked her head into the room. "Everything alright in here?" Raven asked looking at Tamani and then at me, He nodded his head slowly. "Alright, call if there are any problems." Raven said closing the door and continued down the hallway, "Simon if you do get sick then we will take care of you till you are better." Tamani explained in a calm voice, "D-Does everyone who is bitten get sick?" I asked with a shaky voice. "The people who are bitten by rouge or strays does, like you. But if someone was bitten by their own blood or is born into one does not." Tamani clarified.  “So how long till we know if I’m sick or not?” I asked in a low voice and then looking down at my hands. “You will get sick pretty quickly, but sometimes the symptoms don’t show for weeks.” Tamani said with a sigh and wiped the saliva off around his mouth. “So I’m going have to stay here till I get better!?” I yelled, “No, we can show you around but you will have to stay by a teacher or professor just to make sure you don’t hurt yourself. “ Tamani said, “Okay, so when will I turn?” I questioned, Tamani looked at me with concern and then sighed.  “You already had your first turn, but you will turn typically on the full moon like the rest of us.” Tamani explained. “Wait, I already turned?” I asked tilting my head with confusion, Tamani nodded. “But how? I don’t remember a thing.” I said shaking my head, “That’s how it mostly is for everyone’s first turn. You will start remembering your turns from now on.” Tamani said. “Will it hurt?” I asked nervously, Tamani smiled, and then set a hand on mine. “No, that’s the best part we don’t ever remember the pain of turning.” Tamani said still smiling, “So you ready to see the academy?” Tamani asked wheeling over a wheelchair. I nodded; Tamani helped me out of bed and gently took out the I.V’s on my hands.  Tamani walked over to the door, opened the door, walked back over to me, and then wheeled me out of the room.  While we were walking down the hallway I couldn’t help notice the walls and floors were white. There were a few pictures of the ocean and flowers probably to help patients feel more relaxed with their stay. We passed a few desks that belonged to the doctors and nurses who worked here, “Tamani do we live in a hospital?” I asked nervously, I’ve always had a fear for hospitals. It was probably because it was the last place I saw my mother before she passed away. Tamani chuckled and then shook his head, “No, this is only part of the academy. The area we are in now is called the hospital wing. “Tamani explained as we continued down the hallway. “It’s bland.” I pointed out as Tamani laughed and nodded his head with agreement. “Yeah, I hate the color too. But trust me it’s not as bad as you think. You’ll get use to the academy.” Tamani said as we came to an oak wood door. “Ready?” Tamani asked as I nodded my head slowly.
Finally after a week or two...I forgot I have finished Chapter six. I hope you guys enjoy
